IT'S FA Cup day for the borough's sole remaining team in this year's competition.

East Thurrock United from the Isthmian Premier will be playing host at Rookery Hill in Corringham to Needham Market from the Southern League - Premier Central.

Both sides sit in the lower halves of their respective divisions, having played six matches. East Thurrock have gained six points, while Needham – who are managed by former Northern Ireland international and West Ham player Kevin Horlock – have just three so a tight match can be expected.

East Thurrock United's Under Sevens will be mascots for the big game, which offers prizemoney of £3,375 for the winners and £1,125 and will take the successful team just two matches away from the first round proper.

In the Isthmian North Aveley will be home to bottom club Heybridge Swifts, while Grays travel to Coggeshall Town. Tilbury are without a match.
