AVELEY FC have been drawn away in the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round - the 13th time in the last 15 FA Cup and Tropohy draws they have been given an away tie!

They will make the short trip over the Thames to Cray Valley Paper Mills FC, who are based at the Badgers Sports Ground, in Eltham, Greenwich.

While a home tie would undoubtedly been preferable, such a short trip is a stroke of luck as the round will be played in midweek and the Millers could have had to make a long trip to clubs across southern England.

Cray Valley play at the same level as Millers, in the Isthmian League South East Division, and pulled off an impressive giant-killing win at Southern League Premier Division South Harrow Borough on Saturday - winning 5-1 away at Earlsmead.

The match will be played on Tuesday, 13 October and will be played to conclusion on the night, with a penalty shoot-out and no extra time.

The winners will pick up £5,625, while the losing clubs will take home £1,875.

Tonight (Monday, 5 October) Aveley will have the chance to go three points clear at the top of the Isthmian North division if they can beat near neighbours Brentwood Town in a home game at Parkside.. Millers are currently one of five clubs sat on top of the table on six points.
