EAST Thurrock United will be hoping to build on Saturday's impressive Isthmian Premier win against Hornchurch when they travel to Potters Bar this evening (Tuesday, 12 October) for their latest league fixture.

After Saturday's success the Rocks travel to the LA Construction Stadium in good heart and manager Paul martin has also been congratulated for a heartening act of kindness to a young supporter.

He acted swiftly after hearing that friends of young Rocks fan Liam Cain had been unable to obtain a replica East Thurrock United shirt in time for Liam's birthday, due to supply chain issues.

Mr Martin quickly stepped in to save the day by having an official Rocks training top quickly made up, complete with Liam's initials.

Then, along with player/coach Dan Cossington, he raced round to Liam's house following a training session, to present the gift in person, along with a birthday card signed by the players.
