THERE'S action at Parkside and Chadfields today as Grays Athletic and Tilbury entertain visitors in the Isthmian North, while Aveley will make the short trip to Great wakering Rovers.

There's fun of the pitch at Rookery Hill where East Thurrock players and managers will be meeting fans for a Christmas party as the Rocks have no fixture.

Aveley are the borough's lead team in the Isthmian North, sitting fourth before today's trip. They travel boosted by the news that impressive Southend United loanee Jon Benton will be with the Millers until the end of the season and Avlely have also boosted their squad by signing youngsters Aleem Balogun, Harry Brown, Alfie Whiteaker and Jayden Thiongo, who join Woody Wells in the first team ranks. He recently made the transition into the first team squad from the youth team.

Grays sit in sixth place, and will be hopeful of ending the day higher following the visit of Basildon United who are i the bottom half of the division.

Tilbury face struggling Witham, who are three off the deck.
