ON Wednesday 30 June, Belhus CC Under 9s earned a seven run victory over Billericay at North Stifford Village Green. Whilst all Belhus U9s played well, there were two noticeable performances.

Christian Remmer bowled and gave up just six runs from two overs, but he also took an amazing five wickets (5for). Christian is just 6½ years old.

Alfie Bowden batted 31 runs, not out, including 4 fours and 2 sixes! This is the highest individual batting score for Belhus in U9s cricket. Alfie is 8 years old.

The Under 9s coaches, Ethan Barnett and Billy Baker deserve much praise for bringing on this excellent bunch of young cricketers. The Belhus CC u9s have already played ten games this season and they can all look forward to a busy summer with eleven more u9s fixtures to come.

Training continues for Belhus CC U9s at North Stifford Village Green every Friday 6.30pm to 8pm.
