MEMBERS of Corringham Athletic Youth Football Club, parents, family, careres and supporters of the club enjoyed a day in the sun today (Saturday, 27 June) at a celebration of the club's 50tyh anniversary.

And to round off the event, the club announced that its ground - off the Manorway - is to be named the George Goodman Memorial Field after its former president who passed aaway recently.

Today's event featured indiviudal presentions to members of its 23 teams at the conclusion of their season, before all players were presented to the large aufience on a specially-erected stage to receive a momento of the 50th anniversary.

Youngsters were able to enjoy a host of inflatatles, rides and food and drinks with live entertainment on the stage - which was erected and manned by club sponsor Henderson Perry Entertainment.
