Aveley 2, Bath City 0
AVELEY finish seventh in the Vanarama National League South, securing a playoff spot, following their two-nil victory against Bath City at Parkside.
Millers were very unlikely to finish in seventh heading into today's (20 April) game as they needed to beat Bath City, who are in sixth place, and Hampton & Richmond who were in seventh needed to lose to fourth place Maidstone United.
Hampton & Richmond were torn apart by Maidstone, losing five-one in Kent.
Aveley took the lead after just seven minutes through Kenny Aileru whose cross found the top corner.
Millers doubles their lead in the 74th minute as Siju Odelusi neatly tucked away his penalty into the top left corner.
Aveley were strong favourites to be relegated this season but now they have a good chance of getting promoted!
Aveley will take on Maidstone United in the quarter finals of the playoffs.
