HONOURS were even after Saturday's (5 November) clash of two of the Isthmian North's promotion-chasing sides at Parkside.

Grays, who enjoyed a 3-0 Thameside Trophy win in midweek, knew they were up against a much stronger test today against Steve Tilson's Swifts and they found themselves a goal down after 18 minutes when Ross wall opened the scoring.

The equaliser for Grays, who gave a debut to new signing Alex Clark after he signed from neighbours Tilbury, got back on level terms a minute before half time through George Winn – but there were to be no further goals.
