Basildon United 3, Tilbury 1

THE struggle for results continues for Tilbury who suffered a sixth consecutive Isthmian North defeat on Tuesday (28 February) at near neighbours Basildon.

The outcome leaves Dockers in the relegation danger zone, fourth from bottom. They have picked up just four points from 12 matches since axing manager John Coventry at the turn of the year.

All the goals came in the second half with Tilbury's strike from Charlie Heatley in the 83rd minute no more than a consolation after the hosts had scored through Shane Temple (50), Anisius Lewis (70) and Daniel McCullock (73).

Things won't get any easier for Dockers and manager Scott Dash at the weekend - league leaders Hashtag United are the next visitors to Chadfields.
