TILBURY FC manager Scott Dash has quit the Dockers, less than three months after taking the helm at the struggling Isthmian North club.

And the parting of the ways comes with a degree of acrimony - Dash produced a stinging comment about the club on social media.

Dash, who has won just one match since taking over early in January appears to indicate in-fighting within the club.

He says: "My integrity and honesty is all I have and I will not be a pawn in someone's game .

"So I have made the decision to step down from my role as manager at Tilbury and thank the club for the opportunity and wish the club all the best for the future.

"Time to concentrate on my family."

The club has so far not made any official comment.

There is speculation locally that former managers Mark Harrison and Liam Wallace may be returning after it was announced they are to leave East Thurrock United after tomorrow's game with Stowmarket at Rookery Hill.
