Grays lost at home in the FA Cup.

TODAY proved a bad day for borough non-League clubs, who all suffered defeat.

The tone was set last night (Friday, 16 September) when Aveley lost in the Isthmian Premier at Bishops Stortford.

And the woe continued today when East Thurrock United and Grays crashed out of the FA Cup and Tilbury were beaten in the Isthmian North.

Grays were at home to Bedfordshire side Shefford Town and Campton and lost 3-1, victims of a giant-killing.

East Thurrock United lost 3-0 at home to Biggleswade Town.

Tilbury went down 3-1 at Hashtag United.

Detailed reports to follow.
