MILLERS enjoyed an emphatic victory in Saturday's (25 July) pre-season outing at manager Brett Munyard's old club Aveley.

The visitors took the lead on 41 minutes when Jayden Gipson's header from a corner found the net.

It took just eight minutes of the second half for the visitors to extend the lead when Max Booth, who had come off the bench, slotted home after being set up by Malachi Nappa.

Munyard took advantage of the increased lead to introduce more players from the sidelines and it was one of them, an unnamed trialist who netted a third goal on 65 minutes.

Chris Harris came close to a goal just two minutes later when his head came off the bar, but Guipson was on hand to tap in the rebound for his second of the match.

The returning Harris did get on the scoresheet five minutes from time, beating the offside trap and finding the net calmly.

Luca Terminello fired in a late consolation for Regent a minute later.

Millers, who are next in action on Tuesday (28 July) in a friendly at Canvey Island, have confirmed the signing of Anthony Jeffrey from Dulwich Hamlet.
