Tilbury 1, Coggeshsall Town 1

TILBURY'S long unbeaten run continued on Tuesday (10 October) night but it was a frustrating evening for the Dockers who will feel it was two points missed rather than one game as they were the dominant force in this Essex Senior league clash between two sides relegated from the Isthmian North last season.

The hosts had the first real chance when Igli Metalia's header was cleared off the line but they were evenutally rewarded on 29 minutes when a scramble in the box resulted in Metalia forcing the ball home from close range.

Town gave notice that they were not a spent force just before the break when Tilbury defender Jack Hayes was called on to head the ball off the line after keeper Christan North was beaten by a looping header.

Dockers made a triple change midway through the second half but it may have had an unsettling effect and on 76 minutes Coggeshall drew level when Nathan Dennis broke free and he fired past North to restore parity.

Tomy Salter fires over after a mazy run in the closing stages.

In the closing stages the visitors were reduced to ten men when Theo Duffin received a sin bin for dissent but Tilbury couldn't make the extra man count, even through five minutes of added time, and the closest they came to a winner was Tom Salter's effort over the bar which came after a mazy run.
