Redbridge 1, Tilbury 2

A BRACE from Sam Bantick gave Tilbury back-to-back Isthmian North wins on Monday evening (30 September).

Following Saturday's impressive win against Waltham Abbey, Dockers picked up at the Techsoc.com Stadium where they left off.

Tilbury started the game on the front foot as Dan Trendall's in-swinging delivery was toward Connor Martin, but the defender headed over. Martin found himself in the area again when he got on the end of a rebound following Sam Bantick's free-kick which was saved. Once again unable to find the target.

The visitors went ahead just before the half hour with Bantick's first. He picked the ball up on the right-hand side of the area and hit a fine strike into the top corner.

Redbridge drew level from the penalty spot through Abs Conten Thompson on 62 minutes after Tilbury keeper David Hughes was adjudged to have commited a foul.

But Bantick's second when he finished into an empty net following a quick move between himself and Alex Hernandez sealed the win with 19 minutes remaining, lifting Dockers to ninth in the table.
