Thurrock T-Birds 20, Hackney Ladies 7

AFTER going into half time on the wrong end of a 7-5 scoreline, T-Birds showed their mettle in the second half of Sunday's (29 September) Papa John's Intermediate Cup match and eventually rolled out comfortable 20-7 winners.

Next weekend the ladies, who uncharacteristically are in the lower echelons of the table (albeit after just two matches), will be back in Championship South action, seeking for a first win of the season at home to Sutton & Epsom on Sunday (6 October).
