TILBURY bounced back from Saturday's Isthmian North league defeat by making progress in the Isthmian Velocity League Cup at the expense of their derby rivals in tonight's clash (Wednesday, 5 October) at Parkside.

Grays made a number of changes to their starting line-up - and in the second half introduced five substitutes - but that is unlikely to dent the feeling of satisfaction for Tilbury fans as they made the short journey home having restored a bit of pride.

Former Grays striker David Knight set Tilbury on the road to victory with a goal after 20 minutes and seven minutes later Alex Clark added the second.
