AFC Sudbury 3, Tilbury 0

ANOTHER defeat on the road for Dockers in the Isthmian North but it was hardly a surprise as the hosts are challenging hard at the top of the table and are undefeated in the league this season.

Dockers' problem has been inconsistency and though they have had a couple of false dawns with good performances, the end of October has seen them stutter again.

They will be glad to see the month behind them and they start November with a home league clash against New Salamis next saturday.

Tilbury made a solid start to the match at the MEL Group Stadium but succumbed to Sudbury's opener after 27 minutes when Harrison Chatting netted.

It stayed that way until half time but just two minutes after resumption former Reading and Colchester striker Nnamdi Nwachuku scored for the seventh match running, his 17th of the season dampening Dockers' hopes of a fightback.

and the game was gone five minutes later when Lionel Ainsworth added a third.

Tilbury fans might have feared the worst at that point with echoes of the previous week's 5-1 drubbing at Heybridge in their minds but Dockers dug in and they defended more staunchly and kept the Yellows at bay for the rest of the game.
