Girls take to stadium for a season finale that could see them crowned as unbeatables

A GROUP of borough footballing youngsters are gearing up for a big weekend finale to a successful season, playing at a stadium for the first time.

Corringham Athletic FC Raiders U14 Girls have played 15 games so far in the Essex County Girls League U14 south division this season and won all 15. 

Their final game against Thundersley Rovers Lionesses takes place this Sunday (4 April) at 6.30pm and will be held at the Bowers & Pitsea Stadium, rather than the team's usual home ground at Horndon on the Hill, to make the ocassion extra special.

Clb officer Adam Kortlandt said: "We're hoping to go unbeaten and secure the league title. This is only our second full season together as a team, having formed just over two and a half years ago."
