GRAYS lost to New Salamis three-two in the Isthmian League North Division on Friday (9 February). Blues put up a late fight at Bowers Park scoring two second-half goals, but an equaliser evaded the away side.

Salamis took a two-goal lead in the first half. Joe Waight scored after 10 minutes and Wraynel Hercules in the 43rd minute. Waight scored his second goal just after halftime in the 50th minute.

Grays fought back as Phil Roberts (54') and Aron Gordon (62') scored, but even in a much improved second half Blues could not find another goal.

Blues face Walthamstow at the EMR Stadium next Saturday (17 February). Walthamstow have taken 7 points from their last three games and sit ninth in the Isthmian League North Division.
