GRAYS Athletic have strengthened their defence with the signing of Quba Gordon from Hashtag United.

The centre back signed for the Tags in the summer, and has made 20 appearances, scoring once.

He joined United from Heybridge Swifts. He signed for Swifts in the summer of 2022, after spending a season with Hendon. He went on to play 49 times during the 22-23 season, a big part their success as they reached the Play Off Final, and then made another 35 appearances last season.

Gordon also spent time with rivals Maldon & Tiptree a few years ago, a big part of that 2019-20 side which reached the Second Round of the FA Cup.

He was a young player with Boreham Wood before playing a major part in the Haringey Borough squad which eventually won promotion to the Isthmian Premier Division via the play offs.
