Aveley 2, Corinthian Casuals 1

AVELEY'S impressive start to the season continued on Bank Holiday Monday when a goal in each half ensured they retained second spot in the table.

Oscar Shelvey opened the scoring for the Millers on 25 minutes with an opportunistic effort in a packed goalmouth.

Harry Gibbs added a second just after the hour to give Aveley control of the game and even though Oluwabunmi Babajide marked his appearance from the bench with a goal three minutes from time the home side held on.
