A LAST gasp goal denied East Thurrock any reward from tonight's (Tuesday, 4 August) Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League Challenge Cup clash.

The Rocks looked lively from start and seemed determined to bounce back from Saturday's home Division South defeat by Stansted.

And they were rewarded with a goal after just seven minutes when a corner was whipped in to the corridor of uncertainty and fell favourably for Ashton Marson who poked it home!

Marson came close to doubling the advantage on 15 minutes but his header hit the woodwork.

Rocks took the lead into the break, but it didn't last long on the restart as Manor drew level in the 46^th minute.

The visitors, who made several changes in the second half, had chances to re-establish the lead but couldn't take any of them and, with a minute left, slipped to defeat when a chipped goal decided the tie.
