GRAYS Athletic moved into the Isthmian North top five thanks to a late, late show.

Grays have struggled to score goals of late and another goalless draw looked on the cards at Wroxham, but the game was won in the last five minutes.

The Blues were awarded a penalty which was converted by Sam Bantick - and right at the end the visitors got another, Damani Hunter making it two.

There was also late drama at Rookery Hill where the Rocks said farewell to managerial due Marc Harrison and Liam Wallace who announced they were leaving because of a reduced budget at the club.

They couldn't managed a win on their last day either but it was an entertaining match against Stowmarket Town and there was high drama at the end.

The visitors hadn't won in five but they made a bright start and went ahead just after a quarter of an hour, Alfie Cutbush cutting through the Rocks defence.

That's how it stayed until the last minute of normal time when Brian Moses delivered an equaliser for the Rocks. Celebrations turned to disappointment just seconds later as Stowmarket got a second goal in added time through Luke Upson.

And there was still time for more drama when Moses and the home fans thought he had scored but the match officials ruled the ball had not crossed the goalline.

Over in Tilbury, there was a real hammering for the Dockers whop were trounced 8-1 by league leaders Hashtag United. Full report here.

In the Isthmian Premier Aveley missed the chance to go level on points at the top and capitalise on a defeat for leaders Bishops Stortford but they couldn't take three points at Carshalton Athletic.

With seven consecutive wins the Millers were in good form, but they couldn't make a breakthrough in a goalless first half- nor in a goalless second half, although they did hit the woodwork on two occasions. They remain second.

On Monday the Millers bid for a place in the Velocity Trophy final when they host the semi-final at Parkside against Chatham.
