AVELEY make the short trip to Welling United, boosted by the weekend's 2-1 home win against bottom club Dover.

The upbeat end to a momentous 2023 ended a barren spell in the National League South for Millers and they will have hopes of making it two wins on the spin at Welling's J Hearnden Skip Hire Community Stadium (3pm).

The hosts are third from bottom, eight points away from safety and without a league win since 25 November.

Over the holiday they played neighbours Dartford twice, both matches attracting crows of more than 2,000 but gained just one point from the away clash.

Essex Senior League Premier Division leaders Tilbury travel to mid-table Little Oakley.

Kick-off at the Memorial Ground is 3pm.

Grays Athletic are without a match today as their scheduled Isthmian League North clash at Redbridge was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
