RECENTLY-appointed Aveley manager Alex Akrofi has now confirmed his backroom team at Parkside.

Liam Bailey comes in as assistant manager, having previously been at Colchester United as Manager of the U18s and U23s before being appointed Academy manager at Maldon & Tiptree.

Kevin Watson is first team coach. He was previously at Cray Valley PM as first team manager, guiding the Kent Millers to the Southern Counties East League title, the FA Vase Final and the FA Cup First Round proper. He has also been manager of Isthmian South East side Sheppey United.

Tommy Morgan is assistant coach and John Witham returns to Aveley as goalkeeping coach, having previously worked with Millers' former keepers of David Hughes and Jonathan North.

Harry Peters will be first team analyst and Lee Watson is assistant coach and analyst.

Completing the team is long-serving physio Steve Madden, accompanied by assistant Physio Rosie Casey, and Lewys Worley is kit manager.

The new team will be in action together for the first time when Millers travel to Hertfordshire to take on Cheshunt in the Isthmian Premier League on Tuesday (6 October). The two clubs have also been paired in the third round of the Isthmian Velocity Trophy in a tie to be played by the end of November.
