AFTER Friday evening's FA Cup triumph against Hashtag United, Aveley will hot the road in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.

In today's draw Millers were paired with AFC Sudbury who play in the Southern Premier League Premier Central Division.

The second round qualifying will take place across the weekend of Saturday 13 September, with winning clubs picking up £3375 from the prize fund and losing teams collecting £1125.

There have been changes to the playing staff at Parkside.

 Forward Chris Harris, 30, joins the Millers after spending last season in the Isthmian premier league with Canvey Island, scoring 12 goals in 42 appearances in all comps. Harris joined The Gulls after an impressive 2023/24 season in the Isthmian South East with Sittingbourne netting 18 times in 31 games helping The Brickies to a play-off place.

The forward has plenty of step 3 experience with Bishop's Stortford and Cheshunt, with being part of the formers title winning squad in the 2022/23 season. Scoring five times 20 league games, playing alongside Ollie Peters, Ryan Henshaw Ryan Charles and Anthony Church.

He made his debut for Aveley against Hashtag.

Also playing for new clubs at the weekend after leaving Millers were forward Joseph Boachie and central defender Marvel Ekpiteta.

Boachie joined The Millers in the summer from Isthmian South East side Sittingbourne, and made his debut for Aveley coming off the bench against Brentwood Town on the opening day of the season.

Boachie has joined Step 4 Isthmian North side Cambridge City.

Marvel Ekpiteta, 30, also joined Millers in the summer from fellow Isthmian Premier League side Folkestone Invicta, and went on to make four appearances.

Ekpiteta has joined fellow Isthmian Premier League side Cray Valley, making his debut in the FA Cup.

On Wednesday 3 September Aveley welcome Potters Bar Town to Parkside in the Preliminary Round of the FA Youth Cup - 7.30PM Kick Off.
