AVELEY will be looking to consolidate their play-off zone position with a win against Wingate and Finchley at Parkside this afternoon (Saturday, 22 November).
An unbeaten league run stretches back to mid-September and has seen Millers rise up the Isthmian Premier League table.
On Monday (17 November) Millers edged through in the Isthmian Velocity Cup with a last gasp win against Witham, but manager Brett Munyard was displeased with the performance and says unless his senior players stand up and be counted, eighth-placed Wingate will prove a real test.
He said: "If we are like that on Saturday, we will get a hiding."
In the Isthmian North there are pivotal matches for both Grays and Tilbury who need to rekindle some form.
Grays have been blown away in recent matches, failing to score in four league and cup matches and some impetus gained in October and early November has ebbed away.
Today brings a tough test at home to Gorleston who sit second, having taken 13 points from their last five matches.
Tilbury have just one win in six going into their match at mid table Witham and sit fourth from bottom. Their last league outing was a draw at Concord when they were only denied a win by a last gasp goal, which gives them some hope for today's trip to the Simarco Stadium.
In the Essex & Suffolk Border League Premier Division East Thurrock Community FC travel to Hatfield Peverel, looking to extend their position at the top of the table.
