AVELEY will be on home ground this evening (Wednesday, 5 April) when they contest the final of the Isthmian League's Velocity Cup.
They will take on fellow Isthmian Premier side Potters Bar at Parkside (ko 7.45pm) in the Isthmian's league cup competition.
This will be Aveley's first final since the Essex Senior Cup finale against Billericay Town, held at nearby Ship Lane, in April 2011. Millers lost that final 2-0.
Aveley last won the league cup in the 1989/90 season, with The Millers making history at being the first lower division side to win the trophy.
Aveley and Potters Bar have already met four times this season.
They drew 1-1 at Parkside in the FA Cup first qualifying round on 3 September but lost the replay 2-1 four days later.
The following week the two sides were again in action at Parkside in the league, Aveley winning 3-1.
And Danny Scopes' side followed that up with a 2-0 away win at the Lantern Stadium on Valentine's Day.
