Much-travelled Nash is back with Millers

AFTER 11 years away Aveley have announced the re-signing of forward Liam Nash from Billericay Town.
Nash last played for Millers in 2015, when he was appointed captain at just 19-years-old after impressing then-manager Justin Gardner.
Following his spell with Aveley, Nash moved to Maldon & Tiptree, where he scored 36 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions during the 2016/17 season. His performances earned him a professional contract with League Two side Gillingham. During his time with The Gills, he joined Concord Rangers — then in the National League South — scoring five goals in 12 games.
Liam later signed for Cork City, departing the Irish Premier League side in April 2019. He then joined National League South outfit Hemel Hempstead Town, where he scored eight goals in 17 appearances.
In October 2020, Nash joined Hornchurch after a spell with Boca Gibraltar in the Gibraltar National League. During his time with Hornchurch, he scored in the 2021 FA Trophy Final as the Urchins defeated Hereford. He went on to score 27 goals in 43 games during the 2021/22 season, and another 27 in 44 games the following year. In the 2023/24 campaign, he added 23 goals in 38 appearances as Hornchurch lifted the Isthmian Premier League title.
Nash remained with Hornchurch for their inaugural season in the National League South, scoring eight goals in 26 games before moving to title challengers Worthing. He added a further seven goals in 18 games as Worthing narrowly missed out on the title by one point before falling to Maidstone United in the play-off eliminator.
At the start of this season, Billericay secured Nash's signature, and he went on to score seven goals for them.
Nash will go straight into Millers' squad for today's (Tuesday, 24 February) match at Cheshunt.
