ALL the goals were scored in the first half as Grays opened their new Isthmian North campaign with a win at Chadfields today (Saturday, 15 August).

The Blues took the lead after just 14 minutes through Connor Hogan, but the Trawlerboys were on level terms just before the half hour when Henry Pollock grabbed the equaliser.

Undaunted, Grays quickly hit back with what proved to be the winner on 33 minutes through Denim Nnamudi.

The only sour note for Blues came in the third minute of added time when Nnamudi received a straight red card, taking a slight edge off the enjoyment of most of the crowd of 211.

Grays are back in action on Tuesday (18 August) when they travel to face Walthamstow, who opened their account today with a 1-1 draw at Fakenham.
