THREE of Thurrock's non-league sides will be in action this evening (Tuesday, 19 July) on the back of mixed fortunes in previous pre-season games.
Aveley will be hoping to continue their solid start to the season at Parkside when National League South Cheshunt, the surprise Isthmian play-off winners last season, are the visitors.
The Millers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 win at Great Wakering Rovers last Saturday.
Cheshunt qualified at the expense of Hornchurch, who will be in action at Parkside tomorrow (Wednesday, 20 July) when they play Grays Athletic. Grays will go into that match on a high, having beaten Cheshunt 2-0 in their clash at Parkside last Saturday.
Tonight's other two matches see Tilbury, who lost 2-0 at Bowers and Pitsea on their last outing, travel to Canvey Island, another side who enjoyed play-off success last term and will be in the Isthmian Premier this coming campaign.
East Thurrock United entertain Ilford in their latest pre-season clash at Rookery Hill.
