A SECOND half fightback from the Rocks extended theuir Essex and Sugffolk Border League Premier Division unbeaten run to six on Saturday (15 February).

It was a scrappy encounter but the Rocks managed to come from 2-0 down to draw.

The visitors struck first within four minutes, cutting through the heart of the East Thurrock defence and the shot was slid past Tommy Bruley.

It went from bad to worse just three minutes later, with the hosts were caught out by a quick throw down the right hand side, with the cross tucked into the corner to give Cressing a 2-0 lead.

The Rocks responded well but were met with stubborn resistance from the visitors.

There was hope 17 minutes into the second half, as substitute Harry Daly cut back a cross which was converted by fellow substitute and debutant Ross Barnes to open his account.

The Rocks were nearly level five minutes later, as Iziengbe Ikponmwosa-Ikuero bundled his way through and his effort went agonisingly wide.

East Thurrock were level on 71 minutes, as Harry Salter knocked down a free kick to Harry Prince, who found the net for the eighth time in as many games.

Both sides went hunting for a winner, but there were no clear cut chances for either side. In the end, the teams had to accept a point each, which continues East Thurrock's unbeaten run which now extends to three months.

They will attempt to go for seven unbeaten when they host Brightlingsea Town next weekend,

Line-up: 1 Tommy Bruley. 2 Lewis Gardener, 3 Louis Sharkey, 4 Kyle Smith, 7 Bobby Reeman, 9 Iziengbe Ikponmwosa-Ikuero, 10 Kieron Miles, 11 Bailey Morris, 14 Reiss Hatwell, 20 Harry Prince, 21 Harry Salter. Subs: 5 Faith Segemani, 6 Harry Daly, 8 Joey Purdy, 16 Ross Barnes, 19 Owen Dixie.
