EAST Thurrock ended their run of five successive defeats to take a point in Tuesday's Isthmian North clash against promotion-chasing Felixstowe but in the end it almost felt like two points lost rather than one gained as victory was snatched from their grasp in the closing minutes.

Rocks were twice ahead in the match, first through Harry Hope's opener on 26 minutes and then, after the visitors had equalised through Leon Ottley-Gooch, through Ben Steward 15 minutes from time.

The Rocks must have thought they'd finally got back to winning ways, but Ollie Canfer had other ideas, earning his side a point with just four minutes remaining.
