THREE borough clubs are in action this evening (Tuesday, 14 February) aiming to feel the love of their supporters with wins.

In the Isthmian Premier Aveley go up against Potters Bar and will be seeking to make it a double against the Scholars in the league.

The Millers are currently second in the table and in the early stages of the season found themselves challenging for top spot with Bar, but tonight's hosts at the Lantern Stadium have since fallen away and sit in mid-table.

It will be a fourth meeting of the season between the clubs. As well as the league match at Parkside in September, the two met in the FA Cup twice in the previous week, with the intial game at Aveley ending 1-1 and Bar winning the replay 2-1.

There's an important clash in the lower reaches of the Isthmian North, with Tilbury travelling to play Hullbridge Sports.

The Dockers sit in 16th, one above the relegation danger zone and a point ahead of Sports.

East Thurrock United are also in action, and also travel - making the short trip to Brentwood Town for a mid table clash.

A win for the Rocks would put them seven points ahead of their hosts and still potentially in touch with the race for the play-offs .

Ben Marlow

Likely to be in the Rocks' line-up are recruits Ben Marlow and Anthony Page, who debuted in Saturday's 1-0 win at Witham.

Marlow, is a highly popular player at East Thurrock. He is on loan from Bishop's Stortford but previously spent six years with the Rocks. Injury has restricted him to two outings this season, but he was a regular with Stortford during the previous two campaigns.

Keeper Page has been part of the squad at Hashtag United until recently, making eight appearances this season. He has a great deal of experience, much of it in the North Division- turning out for Heybridge Swifts, Brentwood Town, Waltham Abbey, Romford, Ware, Enfield Town, Grays Athletic and Dulwich Hamlet.

Grays Athletic will be in action tomorrow evening when they host New Salamis at Parkside.
