TILBURY put brief blip behind them after beating Hullbridge Sports two-nil at the EMR Stadium this Saturday (23 March).

Coming into today's game Dockers hadn't won in three games, also scoring no goals in these games. But today was business as usual for the Essex Senior League table toppers who maintain a nine-point advantage.

Hullbridge were the better side in the first half and forced keeper Christian North into some very good saves. His shot stopping ability made sure the sides went in level at the break.

It didn't take Tilbury long to take the advantage after half time as new man Alex Akrofi found the net after 47 minutes. Harry Donovan's flick found Akrofi who tucked away.

In the 74th minute Hullbridge received a red card as Agboola tripped Shae Hutchinson after some great ball control.

Dockers sealed the result after scoring in the 96th minute. Oli Spooner found Troy Osei-Bobie whose low shot went under the keeper.

Next, Tilbury play Barking FC on Tuesday (26 March) at the EMR Stadium. Barking are in good form, winning their last five games. They sit 4th in the league.
