Tees tumble, T-Birds go centre stage

Old Tiffinians 37, Thurrock 8

THERE was little pre-Christmas cheer for Tees who succumbed to a twelfth successive defeat in the London & SE Division Regional 2 South East in East Molesey today (Saturday, 14 December).

Winless this season, Tees are cut adrift at the foot of the table but will be hopeful of ending the year with a change of fortune.

Just two places and eight points above them, with four wins to their name are Dartfordians.

They will visit Oakfield for the last match of 2024 next Saturday (21 December).

Tomorrow (Sunday, 15 December) the Ladies Firsts, the T-Birds play at home against old rivals Bath, who have had a pretty decent season so far this year and sit in third place in the Championship South.

Kick off at Oakfield is at a slightly earlier time of 2pm.

T-Birds second team, who won convincingly last Sunday against Wasps 65-0, play away to Chesham this week - KO there is also at 2pm. With main rivals Eton Manor losing to fellow title challengers Thamesians, the title is very much up for grabs.
