THURROCK RFC will play host to Burnham-on-Crouch at Oakfield this evening (7.30pm) in a friendly ahead of their forthcoming Counties 1 Essex (Level 7) campaign, where the season will kick off with a short trip to Old Cooperians on Saturday, 6 September.

Tonight's trial match will be followed up by games against Level 6 opposition in Woodford, away on 16 August and Braintree, who won Counties 1 Essex last season at Home on 23 August.

Thurrock Ladies (T-Birds) will also be in pre-season action with a home fuxture against Brunel On Saturday, 30 August 1pm.
