THURROCK RFC were due to start their London & SE Division Essex One season today (Saturday, 6 September) at Cooperians, but the match has been cancelled as the hosts are unable to field a team.

In accordance with league regulations, Thurrock have been awarded an away walkover and will begin the league season with five league points.

Other senior fixtures will proceed as planned. Thurrock 2nd XV will travel to Rochford, with a 2pm kick-off.
