On Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of November there will be a special bookable "Winter Lights Express" event to raise money for the Children's Society & the Christabella Charitable Trust CIO.

Bring the family and enjoy a trip on the Winter Lights Steam Express. You will depart from Burtonshaw Station for a journey which will take you through woodlands, past the Belvedere and on to the Thomas Heatherwick Sitooterie all of which will be illuminated by the winter lights.

After this there's a short lit woodland walk back to the lake where you can set your candles afloat and perhaps stay for a while to enjoy the quiet of the evening. From here there's a lovely walk up the avenue to the car park. Separate toilets will be available nearby in the barn so you'll have no need to return to the station. The Winter Lights experience will last approximately 70 minutes from the time of your arrival.

Refreshments (which are included with your ticket) will be available before your train departs in the covered, but open, station.

The price is £21.00 per person (plus booking fee), young and old alike. 100% of the ticket sales will be given to the Children's Society and the Christabella Charitable Trust CIO. Pre-booking essential.
