A statement from the school has clarified the position.

It reads: "This morning there was an incident regarding a Year 10 student who collapsed during PE and was taken to hospital in a life threatening condition.

"We ask for your compassion at this time to help to avoid spreading rumours. We will update the school community as soon as we are able."

Police have also confirmed it was a medical situation, saying: "We can confirm that no crime has taken place and this is a medical matter."

Nub News understands the student, a 14-year-old girl, was transferred to Kings College Hospital, London.
