JUST hours after announcing the sacking of manager Keith Rowland, Aveley have revealed their new management team.

Danny Scopes has been appointed as first team manager and he will be assisted by Lee Minshull. The duo worked together at Concord Rangers and joining them at Parkside for something of a Rangers reunion is Scott Wagstaff as first team analyst.

Scopes guided Concord to the FA Trophy final taking on Football League side Harrogate Town in May 2021. He also assisted the Cowley Brothers in Rangers' rise from the Essex Senior League to the National South before coming first team manager in 2019.

Minshull brings with him a wealth of football knowledge having helped AFC Wimbledon get back to the football league, and made his football league debut back in 2011 against Bristol Rovers.

He then joined Newport County in the National League playing over 130 times for the South Wales club helping them get back to the football league after a 25 year absence with a 2-0 win over Wrexham in the play-off final.

In 2018, Lee joined Concord Rangers on a one year deal, but in June 2020 he announced his retirement but continued on with Concord in the role of assistant manager working alongside Scopes.

Wagstaff had three years at Concord working with Scopes where they set up the analysis team from scratch. Some of the work that Scott has produced ranges in areas such as stats, video and opposition analysis.
