Busy and happy times at Thurrock Foodbank

IT's been a busy time for staff and volunteers at Thurrock's Foodbank as the week has already seen a number of significant donations of goods and cash!

The Corringham-based charity, which has outlets across the borough, was delighted to accept a big gift from staff and parents at Stanford-le-Hope's Arthur Bugler School.

Business co-ordinator Sandra Sawle said: "Thank you to the staff and parents of Arthur Bugler and all the other donors for this fantastic donation of food collected during Covid-19."

And then the HQ was visited by Emily Smith, marketing co-ordinator of Chelmsford Star Co-op, which has a number of stores in Corringham, East Tilbury and Tilbury, who handed the charity a £2,000 cheque to mark Co-op fortnight which began yesterday (Monday, 22 June).
