Car park challenge for charities in Grays this weekend

A CHARITY event will be taking place in the car park of the Grays Morrisons store on Saturday (28 August)

Staff at the store will be are teaming up with Thurrock Foodbank and Friends of Essex & London Homeless and are going to attempt to fill a car park space with groceries.

The store's community champion Tarnya Bennett said: "We are looking for donations of UHT milk, tinned veg, tinned meat, tinned fruit, cereal, sponge puddings, squash… all the things two of our local food banks need to ensure those most in need in our community don't go without.

"We will be outside from 10am onwards. If you're in the area please come and support us if you can."
