A NEW drive through restaurant that will create up to 50 jobs is to open in West Thurrock as the latest venue from a North American chain.

Iconic Canadian restaurant brand, Tim Hortons is making a name for itself in Essex, announcing the arrival of two new restaurants this winter.

The brand famed for its signature coffee and delicious donuts will open at Lakeside Retail park in the borough, Thurrock, Essex, with a venue in Braintree hot on its heels - taking the total number of sites within the county to three following a successful launch in Harlow in May.

The new venue in Thurrock will offer dine-in seating for up to 108 guests, an outside area for up to 16 people.

It will offer drive-thru services for those on-the-go, as well as delivery options.

The site will offer a combination of full-time and part-time roles, with progression and training opportunities.

Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons' franchise in the UK said: "Following an incredibly successful launch in Harlow, we are thrilled to announce a further two openings in Essex later this year - taking our total number of restaurants to three within the county.

"Our openings in Thurrock and Braintree will not only allow us to bring our Canadian charm to the fantastic local community but also to those in East London and the surrounding areas. This marks a huge step in bringing our brand closer to home for many of our fans.

"This is an incredibly exciting time for the brand as we continue this period of exponential growth and we'll be searching for local talent to join us on our journey.

"We look forward to recruiting for a variety of exciting part-time and full-time roles and will be accepting applications immediately via our website.
