Clean up crews show great community spirit across the borough

COMMUNITIES either side of the Thurrock have expressed thanks to groups of volunteers who were out and about litter-picking yesterday (Thursday, 30 July).

Thurrock Nub News was on hand as residents in Corringham and Aveley turned out to clean up their local parks.

In Corringham Sam Ralph led a group of volunteers who picked around the town centre before moving on to Corringham Town park, while in Aveley the Friends of aveley and Kenningtons Parks, organised by community stalwart Teresa Webster, were in action.

You can see our film of the Corringham Litter pick here and our main features includes an interview with Teresa as she talks about how local people can make a real difference.
