Essex League action despite the showers

By Guest 17th May 2021

Saturday May 15th, Belhus 1s, 2s and 4s all played with cancellations for the Belhus 3s and 5s.

At North Stifford, Chingford CC with 221 runs proved too strong for Belhus 1s with 138 runs.

The Belhus 2s were 11 runs short at Ardleigh Green despite a fine batting performance from Belhus 2s' Jack Plane who held the innings together scoring a creditable 56 runs.

Whilst the Belhus 4s also came up short at Leigh on Sea, the bowling performance of the day goes to Robert Long in Belhus 4s, who achieved an economy of 0.80, i.e. just four runs from five overs and the batting performance of the day goes to the 4s Simon Walker who made 73.
