THE Thurrock office of Palmers Solicitors is among the latest borough businesses to offer a helping hand to Thurrock Foodbank.
As well as putting together boxes of food for the charity, the firm, has also donated £250 for those in need this Christmas.
BJ Chong and Layla Hatton from the Thurrock office in Fleming Road, Chafford Hundred, were on hand to present the gifts to Foodbank.
Another Thurrock-based business to help out recently was Wilkos in Grays who presented 31.6kg of Christmas items and toiletries to the charity.
Also arriving with a van load of goodies were Downwell Demolition who have been supporting the Foodbank for three years and handed over a range of pre-packed hampers.
And individuals continue to work together to help. The charity has received a box of candy cones with reindeer faced holders made by a friend of Lisa Richardson, a regular contributor to Thurrock Foodbank.
She has now organised so far this year for the charity to receive 903 selection boxes and 494 advent calendars plus boxes of biscuits and tubs of sweets.
On behalf of all at Thurrock Foodbank and to all those named here and the many others who have contributed, business co-ordinator Sandra Sawle has expressed her thanks.
