A CORRINGHAM teacher who has already taken part in several significant charity fundraising efforts is literally setting the bar higher with her latest venture.

The exploits of Veronique Surry-Kaise have featured on the pages of Thurrock Nub News previously and including taking part in a virtual London Marathon, where she made special mention of inspirational cancer victim and Thurrock mum Kerry Woodbury who died a year ago this weekend.

Kerry remains very much in Veronique's thoughts and so she has arranged another fundraising venture for Macmillan Cancer Support and will be going wing walking.

She says: "I have self-funded my wing walk as I didn't want pressure with the fundraising but I still would like to support this amazing charity by raising funds as it has helped so many of my friends and their family getting through some difficult times.

"Special thought for Kerry Woodbury who passed away last September - forever in our hearts.

"I will be flying on the top of a plane shouting those names, sending positive energy whether they are recovering from it or still fighting."
