It's a family affair at Orient where Alex and his team are determined to continue 20 years of service

A FAMILY business in Stanford-le-Hope is approach a celebration of 20 years  of service to the local community.

The Gokteke family first took over the Orient Express Kebab restaurant in 2003, which at that time had already been supplying takeaways to local people from the premises on Corringham Road in the heart of Stanford since 1985.

Eight years ago, and expansion into adjacent premises, saw the launch of the Orient Fish Bar, serving up a menu of traditional style fish and chips, burgers, pies and much more.

Alex Gokteke is a leading member of the family who told Thurrock Nub News: "We are delighted to have reached the 10 year landmark and believe that we are offering a first class service, not just to Stanford-le-Hope but to further afield including Corringham, Fobbing, Horndon and east Tilbury.

"We know from our regular customer base that our products are appreciated, and that people return to us time and time again."

There is a huge and varied family-targeted menu at Orient Express which specialises in pizzas, kebabs and burgers and you can view all that is offered via its website: www.orientexpressonline.co.uk.

You can order and collect and there is also a home delivery service. You can also call to order on 01375 642890. The restaurant is open 2pm to midnight from Sunday to Thursday and from 2pm to 1.30am on Fridays and Saturday.

And at the Orient Fish Bar, where fresh fish is delivered daily, there is an equally succulent choice available to browse online, via www.orientfishbar.uk. Orient Fish Bar is open The restaurant is open 11.30am to 10pm, Monday to Saturday and 2pm to 10pm Sundays.  

Both restaurants also offer a catering or party delivery service.
