A chance to celebrate work of volunteers
By Nub News Reporter 12th May 2026
THURROCK CVS is bringing the community together for a special Volunteer Celebration on Thursday, 4 June from 1 to 3pm at The Beehive Resource Centre, an event dedicated to recognising the impact of volunteers across Thurrock.
It will be an opportunity to see local volunteers celebrated alongside others making a difference across the borough.
Make sure their contribution doesn't go unnoticed; nominate them today by nominating them here: https://airtable.com/appd92sxogerZ3jGc/shr3GlHG8sPgEDMfn.
Meanwhile Thurrock CVS is seeking friendly, community-minded volunteers to help care for the Beehive Community Garden and surrounding grounds. in Grays.
The garden is a special space enjoyed by many local people and we'd love some extra helping hands to help keep it looking its best.
Tasks could include:
- General garden upkeep
- Keeping the car park and front access areas tidy
- Removing weeds and helping maintain shared spaces
A statement says: "You don't need to be an expert gardener, just someone who enjoys being outdoors, takes pride in community spaces, and wants to make a positive difference.
"Your support would mean so much to us. Interested or want to find out more?
"Please contact Caroline West by popping into The Beehive Community & Voluntary Resource Centre or emailing: [email protected] See less
